Any child who leaves the sanctuary during worship service must be accompanied by a parent.  We request this to comply with Child Protection laws.

THANKS to all those who donated food items to help feed the volunteers at the Central Pennsylvania World Hunger Meat Canning. God Bless you all.

CHRISTMAS SHOE-BOX PROJECT: For February we will be collecting donations of soap (bar no liquid) and soap dishes to be placed in the Christmas Shoe boxes for children in depressed areas of the world. The Shoe box tote is by the coat rack. Thank you for your continued donations, Sarah Esh.

TALENT SHOW & DESSERT NIGHT will be on Sunday, March 11th at 6 p.m. There are sign-up sheets on the table in the narthex to participate and for desserts. Come out and enjoy a night of talent, desserts & fellowship!

MESSAGE FROM THE CHILD PROTECTION TEAM: Child clearances (State Police Criminal Record and Child Abuse) are completed every three years. The Child Protection Training MUST be completed annually (Every year). The more members that complete all the necessary requirements, the easier it is for all volunteers. The duties don’t fall so heavy on just a few people. It is suggested that Deacons complete all the necessary requirements. Also, all employees of the church MUST complete all the requirements, including the training. If anyone who wishes to volunteer in any capacity with children has not taken the training class, please see Pastor Randy.

THE 2018 MOTHER-DAUGHTER BANQUET will be held on May 5, at 6 pm, at the McVeytown Fire Hall and we will be serving Roast Turkey with all the trimmings. The past few years we have had/caused septic disasters during the banquet.  It has been determined that our current infrastructure just can't handle a large number of people using the bathrooms in a short period of time.  So, until a solution is found, and the problem corrected, we will not be able to have the banquet at the church.  Moving to the Firehall presents us with additional obstacles to overcome.  By law, we must roast the turkeys at the Firehall.  We will need to do all set up and preparation the day of the banquet and do a more thorough cleaning immediately after the banquet.  So, we are going to need lots of volunteers to help make the evening a success.  However, we believe we can hold our prices at $5 for adults, $3 for ages 6 - 11, and 5 and under are free.  More details will be provided as we get closer to the date of the banquet.  If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please see any member of the banquet committee.

CHURCH CALENDAR: Please clear all calendar dates through Jenn. She will post them on the Church Calendar.

IF ANYONE knows the addresses for our Armed Services Prayer list, could you please let Jenn, the secretary, know so that we can send cards to them?
